Nairobi Politicians Warned Against Using Mother Tongue In Campaigns
City Hall has now warned aspiring politicians against erecting campaign materials in the city without its approval.
City Hall Administration Officer John Ntoiti has also warned politicians against using mother tongue during rallies.
Ntoiti has warned that anyone found culpable of the aforementioned acts risks a jail term or a fine ranging from 50,000 shillings to 300,000 shillings depending on the size of the promotional material.
Ntoiti further warns that his office will burn billboards and other campaign materials put up illegally or without order.
