More Nairobi people to benefit from cash transfer programme

THE government has increased the amount of money for the cash transfer programme in Nairobi from 130 million to 580 million shillings.

Deputy President William Ruto says the programme will now cater for at least 22,000 vulnerable people in the society to 5,600 people.

Speaking in Kayole yesterday, Ruto stated that fund will cater for the old, the orphans, and the disabled hustlers in the programme.

Ruto also asked Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to ensure that low income earners the jobless youth and the women have access to free NHIF services.
