Nairobi City county will still be subjected to water rationing despite recent heavy down pour in Nairobi and central part of Kenya.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company maging director Nahashon Muguna says the rationing will continue untill 2026 citing acute water shortages in main water catchment areas .
The affected water sources are Thika dam,Ndakaini dam and Northern collecter which are yet to be completed.
He has also put the county government of Nairobi on spot over stalled bore holes projects in various estates that were to cost 50 million for their full operations.
According to Muguna Nairobi county government owes the company 210 million shillings making the companys’ operations difficult.
Currently the whole of Nairobi Eastlands receives 1-2 days a week and the worst affected areas are Nairobi West,Langata ,South C and South B.
