Nurses in Nairobi County have now vowed to continue demonstrating at the governors office till they are paid their allowance as agreed before calling off the strike last year.
Speaking to journalists Kenya National Union of Nurses secretary general Nairobi branch Eunice Ngare says they have been waiting for the allowance ten days now and the county has been so reluctant to pay .
He further accused county secretary Robert Ayisi for not heeding to the direction given by SRC and treasury to pay nurses.
Meanwhile the county government through the deputy governor Jonathan Mweke has defended itself saying the matter is being addressed.
Meanwhile 37 county governments have paid nurses their allowances as was assured by the council of governors.
