Mowzey Radio laid to rest (PICTURES)
Ugandan musician, Moses Ssekibogo, best known as Mowzey Radio was on Saturday laid to rest at his mother’s home, Kagga in Nakawuka in Entebbe.
Hundreds of mourners turned up to pay their last respects to the fallen artiste.
Mowzey’s body arrived at the burial grounds at about 10am for the final mass before he was laid to rest.
Mowzey was given a military send off as he was buried in a full army combat uniform and his casket was covered in the Ugandan flag.
Ugandan president Museveni had bought the casket said to have cost five hundred thousand Ugandan shillings (Ksh.750k).
Many celebrities among them Jose Chameleon, Jagua, Chpukeezy and Lilian Mbabazi who was Mowzey’s estranged wife attended the singer’s burial.
It is alleged that the chaos erupted when some of the mourners tried to grab the money that was being thrown into the singer’s grave.
Radio died at Case Hospital in Kampala where he had been admitted after reportedly being beaten into coma at De Bar, a local hang-out spot in Entebbe town a fortnight ago.
