Thirty three minors who were arrested on Sunday at Jerry City Bar Dubois Road CBD drinking beer were on Monday arraigned at the City Hall Court alongside the club’s bouncer.
Principal magistrate Obura however pardoned the minors saying that she was giving them an opportunity to go back to school.
The bouncer was however remanded at the police cells and is set to return to court on Tuesday.
The students were arrested drinking alcohol at the Jerry City Bar.
According to Nairobi Liquor Control and Licensing Board enforcement officer Benjamin Omondi they nabbed the students after waylaying them to the club with the help of police officer.
‘‘We knew that students will be partying before opening and we want to warn them that board will not allow search illegalities to happen and we shall continue exercising section 33 that prohibits the same,’’ Omondi said.
Meanwhile the bar owner have been summoned before Starehe sub-county liqour committee where a closure notice is set to be issued.
