Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been arrested just a day after Ethics and Anti Corruption Officials raided his houses in Migori and Nairobi counties.
Obado was arrested on Wednesday afternoon when attending a meeting of Council of Governors which Deputy President William Ruto was also supposed to attend.
Sources say EACC detectives found eight guns in the governor’s two homes.
Tuesday’s raid saw the detectives seize bank statements and electronics from his home.
Obado has been out on bail after being charged with the murder of Rongo University Sharon Otieno.
