Migori County women representative Pamela Odhiambo has condemned the murder of versity student Sharon Otieno.

Through a statement to newsrooms, Odhiamkbo condemned the governor’s alleged involvement in the matter.

“Today I am the most saddened woman. A story which has been doing rounds in the social like a joke about a Rongo University student by the name Sharon Otieno, has been concluded by reports of her death and serious injuries to a nation’s media staff Barrack.

The most unfortunate thing about it being its connection with a senior Migori County government official. How can a man in his sound mind engineer the death of a poor young girl just because the girl is pregnant and accusing finger is pointing at him? Shame! Unacceptable!” she wrote in part

Odhiambo called on authorities to work with haste to provide justice to Otieno’s family.

“As a woman leader of Migori County I condemn this brutal act in the strongest terms possible! The culprit of this evil act and his accomplices must be brought to book. As a parent and a mother, the pain is unbearable! Losing a 2rd year student from such a humble background is extinguishing the hope of an entire family! Why?

Migori County Women and the entire Kenyan women will not relent until this animal like perpetrators of this killing are dealt with decisively. On behalf of Sharon’s family, we demand for justice. On behalf of all Migori County Women and young girls I demand for respect of our lives. I demand for righteous leadership from all the male. It is not right to use money and positions to lure our young, unsuspecting daughters to their death!.” She added

The women rep aslo sent out her condolences to the family and the university’s student fraternity.
