Public Accounts Committee PAC Nairobi county assembly is on the spot for throwing  out media outside the committee when  conducting probe of Kenya shillings 1.7 billion AAR insurance cover in governor Mike Mbuvi’s administration.

Appearing before PAC acting county secretary Lebo Morintant who was directly involved in the payment asked  committee  MCA Wilfred Odalo that he would like to testify in Camera a request that was granted by Odalo even after  four  out of fiv  Members opposed the move.

‘‘This is the ruling by the chair, the request by one Lebo Morintat is hereby granted and media  take your leave.’’  Said Odalo.

Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok protested the move asking  Lebo  and Odalo to respect the standing orders number 238 that stipulates procedure for exclusion from the county assembly or  committees

‘’In our standing orders such requests ..whenever the speaker has determined that any person to be excluded from a sitting of the county assembly or of a committee the speaker shall  inform the committee the reason for the exclusion and  the reason must be justifiable.’’ Imwatok said.

Notably all the  Jubilee MCAs have also been gagged by Sonko and Jubilee leadership in the assembly from attending PAC committee meetings  where Sonko’s  expenditure for 2017/2018 financial YEAR  is being probed.

In the AAR insurance scandal auditor general raised an alarm  over payment of  shilling 1.7  billion and alleged inflation of number of employees  by the executive .
