Football players in South C have called out their MCA for giving them fake cheques after they participated in a tournament that he had organized.
One of the teams that won the tournament through their coach said their cheques bounced upon being banked.
“we were required to pay a registration fee of ksh.5000 for us to be allowed to participate in the tournament but the cheques that were handed bounced when we presented them to the bank.” Said Coach Saif from Total Destruction
The teams’ managers now say that attempts to get audience with the first time MCA Osman Mohamed have been futile.
They claim they keep being referred to different days raising a lot of questions as the tournament was sponsored by various companies and not only the MCA.
The teams’ coaches are now requesting the MCA to pay up the players who participated in the tournament.
The tournament ran from December to the first week of January with 20 teams participating where the first team was expected to pocket ksh.50000.
Our efforts to reach out to Mr.Ousman to get his sentiments about the said story have not been fruitful as our calls went unanswered.
