Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’I and Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai have vowed to take stern action against on rogue police officers tarnishing the names of the National Police Service.
The two were speaking during a meeting with Muslim leaders at Jamia Mosque say they will not let a few officers soil the hard work down by majority of the police officers.
This comes in the wake of four officers involved in a robbery with violence incident in Eastleigh area.
The heist was reportedly conducted at a lodging in Eastleigh after six gunmen attacked two businessmen robbing them Ksh. 6 Million which was in dollars.
Police have however recovered Ksh. 3.5 Million and arrested three police officers.
Another police officer believed to be in possession of the Ksh. 2.5 Million is on the run with another suspect of Cameroon origin.
