Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has blamed Miguna Miguna for the tribulations that faced him at the Jommo Kenyatta International Airport following his attempts return to the country.
Appearing before the parliamentary committee on security Matiang’i defended the government decision to send Miguna Miguna to Dubai where he originated from, saying he made it difficult to be allowed into the country.
Matiang’i said that Miguna’s passport was not confisticated as had been indicated earlier but instead Miguna had refused to issue his passport to be stamped.
He said that the Immigration department further organized application forms for Miguna to sign but he tore the forms.
He reiterated that they were not served by any court orders and they believe that they were not in contempt of the court order.
He also said that Miguna was not arrested as contrary to what his lawyers had told the court that he was detained.
He further added that they will file a form of complain with the judicial service since judgment was made without hearing their side.
