“Mathwiti, Makeki” boy from Kiambu, lands Ambassadorial gig

James Mbugua from Ndumberi, Kiambu County who became an internet sensation after a video of him lamenting about sweets and cakes surfaced online has landed an ambassadorial job.

Mbugua was on Saturday named the brand ambassador for Valentine cakes, a famous cake house in Kenya.

Chipukeezy and Eric Omondi, had invited Mbugua to ‘The Funny Thruth 4’ Chipukeezy’s show which was also meant to have a fundraising segment  to help the young boy financially.

During the fund drive, Nyali MP Mohammed Ali and former Director of Communications Nairobi County Walter Mong’are pledged to support Mbugua with Sh100K each while Dennis Itumbi, contributed Sh10, 000, towards Mbugua’s school fees.

JamboPay CEO, Danson Muchemi, promised to pay Mbugua’s school fees for his primary school education.
