Narc- Kenya leader Martha karua has hinted that she may join the 2022 presidential bid.
The former Gichugu legislator unsuccessfully contested the presidency during the 2013 general elections and later Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat in 2017.
Speaking at a Nairobi hotel on Wednesday, Karua let it slip that she may just be interested in running for presidency in 2022.
“2022 is far off and we are gathering steam and you will be hearing from us soon,” said Karua.
The tough-talking politician also added that the race to the statehouse is not just for men.
“Everybody is entitled to seek any seat they want, and I have told our male brothers in this country the presidency is not a preserve for only men, Do not write us off as women” added Karua.
Karua also told off those who think that 2022 presidential candidates have already been determined.
“ Therefore lets us stop talking as though the only candidates are those who have already declared, they are even other candidates both male and female coming up, nobody is a presumptive president in 2022,” Karua said.
