Fifty eight percent of Kenyans are unaware of the changes taking place in the education curriculum.
A survey carried out by Twaweza East Africa stated that six out of 10 citizens have not heard about the proposed changes.
Victor Rateng, the Senior Program Officer Twaweza East Africa,says that the government through the ministry should communicate better to the public.
The research which has been ongoing for two and a half years revealed that 22 percent of the citizenscit reported teacher shortages as the biggest challenge facing schools
Poor performance by teachers at 20 percent, a high number of students and inadequate government funding from the government following at 16 and 13 percent .
Other problems cited included inadequate books and other supplies and student discipline.
