The president is in dilemma whether to open the country or not as pressure mounts not to do so due to the steady increase of cases of Covid 19 in the country.
Uhuru had earlier urged Kenyans to continue following the health ministry guidelines to fight the spread of Covid 19 but hinted on a possible re-opening.
“I have told health officials and my ministers that they should start telling Kenyans that we cannot be under curfew or lockdown forever. But when we reopen and this disease escalate again please don’t blame me or Matiangi the responsibility is for all of us,” Uhuru said.
Patrick Maina a mechanic in Ngara hopes that the president will unlock the country saying his job is seriously suppressed.
According to Maina his main customers were matatus plying Nairobi – upcountry routes.
‘‘ I hope the president will re-open the country and the transport system too so that i can have my customers back again..as we speak getting three hundred shillings a day is a challenge and i have a family to feed,’’he told Ghetto Radio News.
