Majority Of Kenyans Do Not Have Medical Covers

A new survey conducted by Infotrak Kenya has revealed that 51 percent of Kenyans do not have medical covers.

The survey which was conducted in the counties of Machakos, Isiolo, Kisumu and Nyeri also showed that only 42 percent of Kenyans registered for the Universal Health Coverage.

Infotrak Chief executive Officer Angela Ambitho stated that 80 percent of the Kenyans polled felt that the health coverage was good.

The registration for UHC was free during the sampling however the government said that it will introduce a certain fee for acquiring it later on.
