Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha CS Education has urged teachers and tutors to report absence of registered candidates in schools so that they can be deregistered.

This comes after reports from teachers that there are candidates who register for the final exam but fail to attend school only to be seen during the last days

Speaking during he forum on preparedness of 2019 KCPE, KCSE exams, Prof Magoha warned candidates against failing to report to school as scheduled by management adding that failure to comply will lead to deregistration.

KCPE exams are set to begin on the 28th of  October to the 31st of October.

Meanwhile preparations for the KCPE exams are in top gear, with the ministry of education bringing on board other stakeholders for full preparation.

In the previous years, the ministry has worked with the Interior and Coordination Ministry, the ICT ministry among other small departments within the government to prepare for the exams.
