Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o is set to jet into the country sometime today ahead of the Black Panther movie premier in Kisumu on 13th February.
Kisumu will be the first city to open its doors to the public to watch the much anticipated movie.
Lupita stars in the movie as Nakia, a spy who comes back home to witness her ex be crowned king of Wakanda land but then chaos break and she is forced to stay and help over throw a rogue king and help return her love to the throne.
Black panther screening in Kisumu comes just days after a private screening was held at crimson media in Prestige plaza over the weekend.
“Yesterday I graced Black Panther premiere in Los Angeles. Kisumu has been chosen to host the same event on February 13, 2018. Come all and share some light moments,” Lupita wrote on social media.
The county government of Kisumu headed by Lupita’s father Anyang’ Nyong’o has supported the public premier in a bid to promote arts among the youth’s in the country.
Fans are eager to meet the Hollywood star together with an alleged surprise guest who has also stared in the movie.
Black Panther is one of this year’s most anticipated movie with Marvel fans across the globe ultimately terming it as the best Marvel movie so far.
