Bernard Otieno Okoth won the ODM Party nomination exercise for the Kibra by-elections.
Okoth popularly known as Imran garnered 4,382 votes beating his close rival Peter Orero garnered a paltry 1000 votes.
He is the brother to the late former Kibra MP Ken Okoth.
Ten candidates had participated in the nomination exercise that was conducted on Saturday.
In his victory speech at the party’s tallying center Okoth vowed to keep former MP Ken Okoth’s legacy alive.
“The battle is ahead of us on the 27th of November, we must keep the legacy of the late honourable Ken Okoth alive,” said Okoth.
Okoth’s supporters took to the streets to celebrate his win just immediately after he was announced the winner.
