Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) has called on  the  government to improve infrastructure in public secondary schools before embarking on the 100%  transition of students to secondary schools.

In an interrview with Ghetto Radio News KUPPET secretary General Akello Misori  says the current classrooms, lavatories and even books are not enough to cater for the admitted  form one students this year.

‘‘We had a meeting with Cabinet secretary for education today and  i have told him that schools lack resources and we shall not allow it ,they must give us enough infrastructure.’’ He noted .

The union is in talks with the ministry over the matter and KUPPET already held talks with Education cabinet secretary  Amina Mohammed who assured them the the ministry will increase infrastructure to address the looming crisis.
