The annual Kothbiro tournament final stage matches kicked off on Thursday December 8 as Group A’s Nyoi Fc and Borrusia creates tension with the two teams trending on social media before their match day.
Borrusia gave it their all during the first half but the start studded Nyoi delivered the most important thing; a goal.Eric Yohanna who also plays for Mathare United came through very early in the match in the 3′ with a fantastic goal to put Nyoi ahead.
Borussia dominated the first half with a good display of talent with Faruk Shikalo, the Nyoi goal keeper who also plays for Muhoroni Youth working extra hard to keep Borrusia at bay.
The second half saw Borrusia coming out strongly but Nyoi took full control of the game with an attack that yielded a corner that was taken by Eric Yohanna and went into the net after the Borrusia keeper fumbled with the ball.
Earlier on A1000 Street were awarded 3 points and 2 goals courtesy of Lebanon being expelled from the tournament. This leaves A1000 street and Nyoi Fc as the qualifiers in the round of 16 from Group A
