South B United, last year’s winners of the annual Koth Biro Off season tourney, are expected to feature in this year’s Chapa Dimba na Safaricom national finals.

However, to get there they must face off bitter rivals Slum Dwellers FC, in the regional semi-final. If they proceed to the finals, they will fight it off with either Gor Mahia Youth or Kamukunji High.

Their success at the regional finals, will see them play against Al Hayat (North Eastern) at Kakamega’s Bukhungu stadium on the 22nd of this month.

The nationals will have all the eight teams from each region play against each other for a chance to get into the semi-finals and the finals later on.

The winner of the national finals will pocket Ksh. I million and will also travel to the UK for mentorship program by Kenya’s Victor Wanyama. The winner does not take it all however as each team that reaches the semi-finals will be awarded with Ksh. 250,000.

South B United have come a long way after winning last year’s instalment of the Koth Biro tournament. A goal by Patrick Mugendi sealed the deal that saw them pocket Ksh. 300,000 courtesy of SportPesa and an extra Ksh. 300,000 as from Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko.
