KNH Nurses Freed on Bail

nursesKenyatta National Hospital nurses who were arrested on Wednesday during the nurses protests were on Thursday freed on cash bail.

Three of the nurses were freed on a cash bail of 10,000 shillings while six others were freed on a cash bail of 20,000 shillings.

Some of the charges leveled on the nurses include disturbing peace and resisting arrest.

The nurses have been on strike from Monday in a bid to push the hospital management to allow them be represented by a union of their choice after one of their colleagues was beaten and injured by a patient’s relative

The case will be listened to on the 4th of December.
