KNH Nurses down tools over attack on colleague

Kenyatta National Hospital nurses have downed tools protesting an attack on their colleague on Saturday.

Kenya National Union Of Nurses Secretary general Seth Panyako says the nurses withdrew their services on grounds of insecurity.

A nurse at the hospital was allegedly attacked by a woman whose child had died at the hospital

According to the Kenya National Union Of Nurses, the nurse fell unconscius after she was hit on the head by the woman.

Meanwhile Margaret Muthoni Maina who has been at the hospital for seven months also condemned the incident calling for tolerance on the nurses.

Muthoni says she appreciates the services of the nurses for the seven months she was there describing the patients as friendly.

She has called on Kenyans to be tolerant and a bit patient with the nurses as they undergo their duties.
