Kitui residents have burnt a Probox vehicle after they found it transporting charcoal.
This comes a day after Limuru residents protested against the burning of a lorry carrying charcoal in Kitui.
The protesters were demanding that governor Cahrity Ngilu compensates the owner of the lorry.
Yesterday the National Cohesion and Intergration Commission grilled governor Ngilu over her sentiments that allegedly led to the burning of the lorry.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka however defended Ngilu warning that if charcoal burning is not controlled, Kitui will be turned into a desert.
