Two Nairobi county Law Enforcement Officers have been arraigned in court over the murder of city hawkers and will be remanded till police investigations are completed.
Alfred Ogesi alias Brown and Julius Ochieng accused of killing Nairobi hawkers appeared before resident magistrate Joyce Gandanyi on Monday morning and did not take any plea upon prosecutors’ request for additional time.
State lawyer Duncun Ondimu told the court that, “They are providing crucial information that may lead to the arrest of suspects who are still at large.”
Ondimu said the two are likely to face murder charges alongside another suspect, Protus Sakala, who was arraigned in court on Friday 8th unless investigations finds otherwise.
Sakala alias Salala, was arrested by flying squad officers on Thursday night, barely hours after Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s public outcry over the alleged harassment and killings of hawkers by rogue county askaris.
