Kilifi Deputy Governor arrested for refusing to self-isolate
Officers have arrested Kilifi Deputy Governor Gideon Saburi at the Coast General Hospital.
The Deputy Governor is set to face charges for refusing to isolate himself.
This comes just a day after health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced that the Deputy Governor had recovered from the Covid-19.
The CS said Saburi had been tested three times and all tests came back negative.
The DG was forced into a 14-day quarantine in mid- March following his return to the country from Germany. He had allegedly refused to quarantine himself for the mandatory 14 days.
