Residents of Kibera living along a railway line risk losing their homes should they fail top vaccate the area.

Even though the residents were given a notice to vacate, they now say it is imposibble to vacate since they have not been given an alternative place to stay as was promised.

The residents also questioned the government’s motive saying parts of the area has already been demolished even though some of those affected were not notified earlier.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio, Tom Okech, a resident in the area says a lot of people have been affected

“We were to be build for houses for us to move in first before the demolitions took place but now houses are being demolished, businesses have been spoilt yet we have not been given a place to go. Some of these people did not even get a notice to vacate.” he said
