Kenyans plead for lower taxes ahead of budget reading

The national budget which is scheduled to be read today comes with different reactions from the public with many complaining about the current state of living.

While most people had nothing to comment on the budget, some pleaded with the government not to impose high taxes.

Others asked the government to fulfill their promises and maintain the original prices of commodities.

Meanwhile Finance CS Henry Rotich has decried poor public participation in the budget process,

He says members of the public were quick to criticize the budget but shunned the budget making process for various reasons.
