For the past few weeks there has been a debate online of artistes asking Kenyan media to play Kenyan music.

The debate which was mainly fueled by artistes Khaligraph Jones gave rise to different opinions from celebrities across the country.

Veteran actor Davis Hezron Mwambili popularly known as inspekta mwala also recently weighed in on the debate.

The former vitimbi actor said kenyan music lacks direction and one cannot sing to it.

“Kenyan music is not sweet, si tamu. Whether you like it or not, hate, the truth is Kenyan music lacks direction and you cannot sing along. He said

Mwala also gave an advice to artistes asking them to up their game

“They need to style up,” he added
