An International based Kenyan comedian had it rough trying to make her Kenyan audience laugh during the last International Laugh Festival.
Kenyan Britain-based comedian Njambi McGrath got the shock of her life after Kenyan fans boeed her off the stage for what they termed as ‘dry jokes’.
The audience at the event held at KICC failed to get her jokes and asked her off stage event as she tried to salvage the situation.
Laugh Festival CEO and the event host Churchill and MC Jessy’s intervention could also not save the moment.
McGrath tried to salvage her stage moment by switching from English to Swahili and then to Kikuyu but still, her jokes flew past the audience.
The comedian who is a celebrated international comedian who has performed on stages like the BBC New Year International Comedy Celebration with many comedians hailing her as a rib cracker could not salvage her stage moment in the end forcing her to exit the stage.
