Kenyan celebrities told to quarantine after attending award ceremony in Nigeria
Kenyan celebrities who recently attended the Africa Movie and Video Choice Awards in Lagos Nigeria have been advised to self-quarantine.
The Lagos State Ministry of Health through twitter, revealed that one of the attendees of the event tested positive for COVID-19
“I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection” read the tweet
Celebrated actor and Musician Pascal Tokodi won the best supporting actor for his role in the movie Disconnect at the said Award ceremony that went down on 14th March at Eko Hotel in Lagos Nigeria. Sarah Hassan also won the Best Movie in East Africa for her Movie Plan B.
The event was hosted by Kenya’s Amina Abdi alongside veteran Nigerian media personality IK Osakioduwa.
