Wesley Kemboi believes Western Stima has a chance to win the Premier League title despite Tusker and Gor Mahia leading the park on the Log.
With five games to play Kemboi told Ghetto Radio that just as Leicester City made history claiming their maiden Premier League title, the striker believes his side can bridge the gap and win their first league title.
“Leicester is a club that were discounted by many,I mean nobody ever thought they would be called title holders in twelve years, and so are we.I believe we have a chance. With God everything is possible”.
Kemboi helped his Kisumu County based club to third place on the log with his scoring streak against AFC Leopards and City Stars.
The Western Stima forward was named player of the Month for September beating Gor Mahia’s George ‘Blackberry’ Odhiambo and Allan Wanga by a big margin.
Western Stima are currently third on the log with 40 points, eight behind leaders Tusker and four behind Gor Mahia.
Western Stima face a daunting task in their next clash against Gor Mahia in a match that both sides will be gunning for a win to boost their chances of winning this year’s title.
Kemboi 29,has revealed that the Henry Omino’s side is working towards winning the next match against inconsistent Gor Mahia.
“The clash will determine Western Stima’s fate. And the team is working towards achieving a goal that is to carry the title.”
