KCPE Candidate Detained In Hospital Finally Discharged
Floys Opisa a KCPE candidate who was stuck in hospital over hospital bill has finally been discharged.
Opisa was discharged on Saturday after the Mission Of Hope Administration cleared her Ksh. 31,000 hospital bill at the Kenyatta hospital.
Opisa had been detained at the Kenyatta National Hospital where she has stayed for 11 days after successfully undergoing treatment but could not be discharged for lack of Ksh. 31,000.
It is at KNH where she was diagnosed with a heart problem and had to be admitted.Doctors said that Opisa had an artery blockage which had made the minor’s heart enlarge abnormally.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News, Opisa’s father Julius Omukote Oketch could not hide his joy and happiness after his daughter was freed from medical detention courtesy of Mission of Hope primary school’s management and other well wishers from Ghetto radio who came through with financial contributions.
”I thank all who have supported me including those sent donations, the school management who settled the bill and Ghetto Radio who amplified my daughter’s situation. May God bless you all.” Said the joyous Omukote.
Well wishers from Ghetto radio contributed a total of Ksh. 26,000 which will go into buying bmedication for Opisa and also pay for the bouts of injections prescribed.
According to Mission of Hope primary school’s headteacher Mr. Titus noted that they bailed out Opisa because she is one of their own and its their social responsibility to intervene when such cases occur.
”Opisa is one of our own, we were worried that she would miss her national exams so we had to act quickly so that she doesn’t miss her long awaited exams.”said Titus.
Opisa attended her KCPE rehearsals at Mission of Hope Primary.
