Jamhuri HIGH school has been closed indefinitely as investigations commence following a night attack.
This has happened even after the Board of Directors denied reports of students being hospitalised as a result of the unrest that saw several injured.
A representative of the board who spoke to the media said that the allegations leading to the closure are now under investigation adding that the school would resume normalcy on Monday.
“The board has never received any complaints up to today but we are investigating the allegations and we will give you a detailed report at a later date,” said a representative.
The notice came after Nairobi security bosses held a meeting with the school administration.
Seven students were seriously injured during the fight yesterday night that saw some students admitted with stab wounds.
Some students admitted to hospitals have stab wounds.
The fight broke out after a section of the students protested alleged discrimination on the basis of religion, students say.
