Director of Public Prosecutions ordered TV journalist Jacque Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu alias Jowie be charged with the murder of Monica Kimani.
Monica Kimani was found murdered in her apartment in Kilimani on 19th September.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the DPP affirmed that he had reviewed the evidence and there was satisfactory cause of action to warrant criminal prosecution against the two
“I have independently reviewed the evidence so far on record and am satisfied that there exists a prima facie case to warrant criminal prosecution against the following individuals, for the offense of murder contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the penal code,” read part of the statement.
The two were arraigned at Milimani Law courts this morning where Lady Justice Jessie Lessit ordered Jacue Maribe to be remanded at Lang’ata women’s prison.
