Nairobi County Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe has officially exited his office.
Igathe had early in January served Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko his resignation notice which expired today.
In his twitter handle Igathe asked Nairobians not to be compromised by political leaders and to maintain the integrity of the city at all costs.
He further promised to work with county government on advisory matters when called upon.
Meanwhile a section of Nairobi MCAs believe that governor Mike Sonko can still deliver on his mandates without a hitch.
According to Karura MCA Joseph Wambugu nobody fired Igathe and and the county government has chief officers, together with directors who run daily activities of the county.
Igathe resigned early this month citing lack of trust from his boss Sonko.
