The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has stated that it will not extend the first phase of the Mass Voters registration that is expected to end tomorrow.
IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba says this follows lack of enough funds to extend the exercise as demanded by a section of politicians and activists.
Chiloba however stated that the registration exercise will continue at the constituency level.
He added that rotation of Kits and lack of proper public civic education has contributed the low turn out of voters registration.
Meanwhile hundreds of Kenyans thronged the registration centers in a bid to beat the registration deadline.
