The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has cleared Jubilee Party nominee for Kibra by election McDonald Mariga to vie.
The IEBC Tribunal chaired by Chairman Wafula Chebukati has ruled that Mariga is a duly registered voter
The tribunal also set aside the decision by the Returning Officer Beatrice Muli declining the nomonation of the complainant on account that he is not a registered voter.
“The respondent is ordered to process the complainant’s application for nomination as the Jubilee Party Candidate for the Kibra by election slated for 7th November,” said Chebukati.
The ruling extensively poked holes on whether the respondent’s decision to not clear Mariga on the basis that he was not a registered voter came up with the tribunal questioning if the register was updated.
