Huruma ward MCA David Okello has given AIC Church built on a church belonging to Huruma Primary 12 hours to vacate the building or face demolition.

This follows an outcry from the school that the church has encroached the school’s land making it hard for the school to construct a perimeter wall around the school.

Okello says maps from the Ministry of land indicate that the church is illegally in the school hence the demolition.

Joseph Muriuki the school’s chairman says lack of a perimeter wall has exposed the students and teachers to a lot of danger hence the need for the church to move.

The church however insists that they are rightfully inside the church and that they have all the necessary legal papers to stay there.
