Hundreds of Kibra youth today took to the streets to demonstrate against the murder of 23 year old Leeds University student Carilton Maina.

The residents carried placards with Maina’s photo demanding justice over the killing.

Some of the demonstrators who spoke to Ghetto Radio News stated that they will not rest until justice is achieved for Maina and other innocent youth who have died in the hands of the police.

According to the demonstrators Maina was a bright and innocent student whose hope for a bright future has been deemed by the police.

Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has since ordered IPOA to investigate the killings.

Until his demise Maina was a Leeds University student who was pursuing an engineering course.

He joined Leeds on a scholarship after scoring an A plain at the Maseno School.
