The recently demolished Air Gate Centre formerly known as Taj Mall in Embakasi East Constituency has turned to an economic hub for Nairobi youths.

Youths drawn all the way from Nairobi’s Kawangware and Kariobangi areas are currently camping at the demolition site collecting construction materials.

The most sought after commodity from the debris of the collapsed building is scrape metal which they claim sells like hotcake.

Those who spoke to Ghetto Radio News say they make at least 3000 shillings from their daily sales.

They claim they can only leave the place when everything is cleared.
