kariokorFormer United States President Barrack Obama was apparently bullied when he visited Nairobi’s Kariokor in the early 90s.

Obama who begun the search of his father’s roots at Kariokor flats where his brothers stayed was bullied due to his pointie colour.

His former friends who hang out with him say some people viewed his skin colour as a sign of softness hence the bullying.

Those who spoke to Ghetto Radio News says some felt challenged by his deep American accent that they could barely understand.

“This particular friend wanted to speak to him in Sheng but Obama could not understand, so he felt he was being snobbish to him,” said the friends.

They even gave him a nickname Chotara that emerged due to his mixed race skin colour.

Former US President Barrack Obama has arrived in his ancestral home in Kogelo Village in Siaya County.

Obama arrived in Siaya a few minutes before 10 am after landing at the Kisumu Airport.

Anxious villagers waiting with bated breath in Kogelo hope that Mr Obama will address them.

He is set to open Sauti Kuu’s Foundation project being run by his sister Auma Obama.

The project comprises of a state of the art sports center comprising of table tennis and basketball courts among others.
