Housing prices go up in Kibra after demolitions

Housing prices in Lindi Ward in Kibra constituency have gone high this is after last week’s demolitions in the area.

According to residents they allege that mabati houses which were being rented at 1500 shillings per month are now being rented at 2500 shillings per month.

The surprise move by the landlords has made affected families in the area to spend more nights in the cold for lack of money.

Some parents have gone to an extent of splitting their children with some being forced to live with relatives while others with family friends a move they say has affected their children psychologically.
