Harambee Stars Captain Wanyama to miss match against Ghana

Twenty four players are in camp ahead of Harambee Stars clash against the Black Stars of Ghana in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The match will be staged this Saturday 8th September 2018 at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.

38 players were called on the Stars squad but only 24 of them have been retained.

Harambee Stars Captain Victor Wanyama will be missing from the match because of an injury he sustained in Europe.

Victors Mugubi’s brother Mc Donald Mariga did not turn up for the team despite being among those who were called up in the squad.

The squad is made up of foreign and local based players, Coach Sebastien Migne retained 10 local based players among them shot stoppers Farouk Shikhalo from Bandari and Patrick Matasi of Tusker others are Philemon Otieno, Jockins Atudo, Dennis Odhiambo, Joash Onyango, Benard Ochieng, Francis Kahata and Piston Mutamba.

David Owino is among the foreign based players in the squad and he is expected to Captain the team.
