Guns in Bobi Wine’s case missing from evidence

Two rifles and ammunition allegedly recovered from Bobi Wine’s hotel room when he was arrested have gone missing.

According to publication,The Observer, police are unable to trace the guns that were paraded in Arua and used as evidence in justifying charges against Bobi Wine.

“Up to now we are waiting for the file and the guns to be given to the investigators so that the case of being in unlawful possession of firearms can move forward,” The Observer quoted a source

Bobi Wine’s arrest and claims of torture in detention caused uproar with his lawyer Robert Amsterdam calling on the U.S. government to suspend military support to Uganda.

The politician is currently in the U.S for treatment following injuries sustained during his detention.
