Kenya Premier league Champions Gor- Mahia thrashed Tanzanian side Young Africans 4-0 in the ongoing Confederation Cup in a match played at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
Rwandan import Jacques Tuyisenge put the Hosts in front in the 23rd minute tapping in from Humphrey Mieno’s pass.
Later on Ivorian forward Ephraim Guikan ended his goal drought with a second before half-time to ensure the Kenyan champions head into the break 2-0 up.
Yanga Defender Haji Mwinyi put the ball in his own net via a head from a set piece by Francis Kahata later on Guikan added his second of the match and Gor’s fourth with a powerful left-footed shot five minutes from time.
This was the fisrt win for Kogalo in Group D which takes them to five points and in second place behind Algerian side USM Algiers (seven points), who secured a 2-1 win away to Rwandan side Rayon Sports in the other group match.
