Kenya premier league Champions Gor Mahia has for the second time made it to the lucrative stages of the Confederations Cup after a barren draw against Cameroonian team.
Gor Mahia is through to the group stages of the Confederations Cup after battling to a barren draw with New Stars at the Limbe Municipal Stadium on Sunday.
The Kenyan sides go through on 2-1 goal aggregate as they had won the first leg by this margin in Nairobi last weekend.
With that win, Gor Mahia are assured of at least Sh. 27 million as they make it to the group stages for the second time in a row.
New Stars have never made it to the round of 16 of the competition in their 8-year history, while Gor Mahia was seeking a second appearance on the trot.
Gor gave a brave fight in the match attended by a handful of New Stars fans. The hosts would blame themselves for wasting numerous scoring chances especially in the final quarter.
