Google has launched a challenge aimed at promoting technology and innovation in Africa.
The Google Impact Challenge Africa will rally different communities around bold tech ideas to create more economic opportunities in their neighbourhood.
The organisation has issued 200 Million shillings grant for the communities with the best innovation.
Applications for the Google impact challenge have been opened from 23 May to the 4th of July.
Google Operations Manager Michael Murungi says they will shortlist candidates based on impact, reach, innovation and feasibility.
Only twelve applications will be accepted.
Three winners selected by the judges will receive 25million shillings each and google support,one winner selected by the people will receive 25 million shillings and Google support and eight finalist will receive 12.5 Million shillings and Google support.
